Al Cisneros Sketch.

April 27, 2016

I’ve started practicing my drawing skills again.  Here’s one I did last night.   It’s Al Cisneros from Sleep.  I took this photo from the Sleep/Neurosis Show in SF.  Now it’s a drawing.

Follow the Smoke. . .

Take it home for $200.  Will ship for free.  If you’re local, I’ll frame it, deliver it and then kiss you on the hand and/or cheek.

I’m a fan of musical, psychedelic and fantasy inspired animated films like Heavy Metal.  So you can imagine that I was SUPER STOKED when I saw this trailer. Check out all the bands that are on the soundtrack.  Fire.

Go to the Kickstarter.  Donate.

Art. Stoner metal. Swords and Sorcery.  What is best in life?

Circa 2005. Or 2006.

I’ll do a proper post or tribute or video.  For now I need to digest and think of the best way to pay tribute.

Off the upcoming Blue Chips 7000 Mixtape.  Should be hot.

If you know me, then you might know that I’m an avid fan of his web/TV show Fuck That’s Delicious (especially while dieting). I’ve only watched 2 TV shows in the past 3-5 years:  This and the season one of Daredevil.

Savannah, GA with Jay, Jet, Zander and Heather.

I had a number of influences on this one but this is essentially my take on a “Western” soundtrack.  Dylan Carlson makes appearances throughout as does sound clips from Cormac McCarthy’s Blood Meridian.  Female vocalists and sprawling compositions from some of my favorite groups are also a focus.  I’ve seen Dylan play before with his band, Earth and he has been a major influence in me picking up guitar again.  I’ve also been on a McCarthy kick lately.

Enjoy, partner.
